Greetings!

Amazing Animals returns again to Cub World this year!
Give
Cub Scouts their first experience of fun and adventure next weekend.

Cubs, parents and siblings are invited to Cub Scouting Day One on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Cub World, Beaumont Scout Reservation. More than a dozen outdoor activities await new Cub Scouts. Families may bring a picnic lunch. Vendors will be available with concessions.

The "gift shop," a.k.a. Trading Post, will be open. Cost is $7 per Cub Scout; parents and siblings are free.

Boone Trails District (covering St. Charles, Lincoln and part of Warren counties) is hosting
Cub Scouting Day One on Oct. 6 at Broemmelsiek Park near Wentzville. Cost is $7 per Scout.

Shawnee District in southeast Missouri is holding a similar event, Day One Cuboree, on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Jackson City Park. Cost is $5 per Scout.

Cub Scouts who participate in an activity during their first month after registering are more likely to stay involved. These events help new parents witness the simple methods of Scouting. They also help leaders who are forming a den by providing a fun outdoor program.

How can we help your unit get off to a great start? Your unit leaders and unit commissioner are your first source for information. Contact your district executive or a staff member for assistance through our online employee directory.

Thanks for all you do for our Scouts.
