Plan For Highway Construction Delays Near Beaumont Scout Reservation
Resurfacing and construction work along Interstate 44 near Antire Road will impact your visit to Beaumont Scout Reservation this summer. Entrance and exit ramps from westbound I-44 to Antire will be closed the entire month of June. Lane closures due to resurfacing will take place until mid-September.

Drivers heading from Antire Road to westbound I-44 need to take eastbound I-44 to Route 141 and head back along westbound I-44. Drivers on westbound I-44 heading to Antire Road need to take westbound I-44 to Lewis Road, head back on eastbound I-44 and exit at Antire Road. All detours will be marked. Medical Forms

Every Scout and leader who attends a long-term camp must have the required forms completed. The BSA recommends that everyone who participates in a Scouting event have an annual medical evaluation by a certified and licensed health-care provider -- a physician (MD or DO), nurse practitioner or physician assistant. Summer Favorite: Make Ice Cream In A Can

Ingredients for Vanilla Ice Cream:
    1 cup heavy cream
    1 cup light cream
1 beaten egg (or use equivalent reconstituted dried)
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Ingredients for Chocolate Ice Cream:
    1 cup heavy cream
    1 cup light cream
    1/2 cup sugar
    4 tablespoons cocoa
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/8 tsp. salt

In 1 lb. coffee can mix all ingredients. Seal can lid well with duct tape. Put small, sealed can inside larger 3 lb. can. Pack ice and 1 cup salt around small can. Put lid on large can and duct tape closed. Roll back & forth on a large towel (optional) for 15 minutes. Open large can and dump ice and water. Wipe small can dry and open. Stir mix, scraping sides of can. Additional ingredients, e.g., cookie crumbs or chopped nuts, can be added now. Reseal small can and place back in larger can. Repack with salt and ice.
