ThProgram Guide Cover-2012-13e most important district meeting of the year is the annual Program Preview--the June Roundtable.

Click on your district in the lower left column for information on dates, times and locations of your Program Preview. Information on camping and training events will be shared along with dates, times and locations of many activities. Make sure your unit is represented at this meeting so you have all the information to plan your program year.

The Program Guide for 2012-13 will be mailed to registered leaders who are entitled to receive a free subscription to the Duffle Bag newspaper and paying subscribers. Please bring the publication to the meeting. Copies will be available at the meeting and at all council service centers. The Program Guide will be posted on the website this week for downloading.

"Scouting... Family Matters" Is Theme Of Recognition Dinner On June 14   

Silver Beaver AwardAll are welcome to join us as we celebrate the outstanding service of 22 adult volunteers who will receive the Silver Beaver Award on Thursday, June 14, during the council's Annual Meeting and Recognition Dinner at the Chaifetz Arena on the Saint Louis University campus.

Scouts will climb floating icebergs at S bar F Scout Ranch this summer at Camp Famous Eagle and Gamble.

Parents, leaders and Scouts--especially Boy Scouts and Venturers--can begin planning a successful and fun week of camp by reviewing information in the manuals.

 

Special Summer Camps: Horse Camp, Ranger Program and Catholic Adventure Week also offer fun and exciting summer camp experiences.

Cub Scout Adventure Camps
$100 Club PatchApproximately 40 Adventure Camps are available throughout our council this summer and each offers Cub Scouts a variety of fun outdoor experiences. Cub Scouts can attend with their den or other Scouts from their pack. Or, Cub Scouts can register on an individual basis for one of two weeks of Grizzly Adventure Camp at Beaumont Scout Reservation's Cub World.

 

Cub Scouts can attend overnight camps. Contact your Cubmaster or den leader to see when your pack is registered for Dad & Lad and Mom & Me overnights.

 

Webelos can enjoy a mini-camp or week-long experience. Contact your Cubmaster or den leader to see when your unit is going.

Let's Go Fishing

Webelos, Boy Scouts, and Venturers are invited to come enjoy a day of fishing on Nims Lake on Saturday, May 19. Personal boats are permitted as long as trolling motors are used on the lake. Council canoes or rowboats will be available for use if requested. Everyone in a boat must be classified as a Swimmer according to the guidelines of the Boy Scouts of America and wear a PFD. Jamboree Troops, Crew Filling Up
Scoutmasters for the six troops and the adviser for the Venture crew are in place for the council's contingent to the 2013 National Jamboree. It will be the first Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virgina.

Develop Youth Leaders In Your Unit 
National Youth Leadership Training NYLT Game
takes place during a week of summer camp and helps Boy Scouts and Venturers develop communication, teamwork, planning and organizational skills. There will be five courses this summer, including a week of Pack & Paddle for Boy Scouts and Venturers over age 14.
