Greetings!
Memorial Day weekend is a time to look ahead to the fun and adventure of summer. It's also a time to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. Thousands of Scouts and leaders will place American flags on the graves of veterans at cemeteries throughout our Council. It's a way to teach an important lesson in citizenship and service to others. Day camp, summer camp and high adventure treks are about to start. Take time now to prepare for many safe, fun and memorable experiences that will help young people grow mentally, physically, socially and spiritually. As always, please contact us if we can be of service to you and your Scouts.

Ready For Webelos, Boy Scout Summer Camp?
Here are three important steps to a successful Webelos Mini-Camp, Webelos Camp, Boy Scout and Venture summer camp:
Hold a parent's meeting: Get everyone excited about the adventure ahead when you gather them together. Make sure everyone knows times, dates and locations of camps. Medical forms: Every Scout and leader who attends a long-term camp must have the required forms completed. The BSA recommends that everyone who participates in a Scouting event have an annual medical evaluation by a certified and licensed health-care provider--a physician (MD or DO), nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
