Greetings!

Green-YouTube ScreenshotRon Green will become the 10th Scout Executive in the 100-year history of the Greater St. Louis Area Council on Tuesday, March 1. Moments after he was selected, he took the time to record a video message for our Scouting community. Click here or on the graphic to view the video.

"My hope is for all of us to work together with a focus on our Scouts," Green said during the council's executive board meeting on Feb. 15. "They should be at the top of our minds."

Ron, an Eagle Scout, and his wife, Kathy, have two children, Caitlin and Thomas. Both are attending college on the East Coast.

Please join us in welcoming Ron and his family to our council.

Cub Scout Game
Leader Tip:
Stuck In The Mud Game

All the fun of mud without the mess!

This game is for four or more players and should be played in an open area. To play, pick someone to be "it." When "it" tags someone, they pretend to be stuck in the mud and can't move. To get unstuck, someone else has to crawl through the person's legs. To make it harder, you can add this twist. If a player touches the stuck player's legs when crawling through them, then they are stuck, too. If everybody gets tagged, the game is over. The last person to be tagged is "it" in the next round.
