Leader Tip:
Match The Heroes
Cub Scout GameObtain 16 photos or prints of men or women. Ten must be famous from the present or the past. Six can be anybody; they are decoys. For each famous hero, write a short descriptive phrase. Examples: "The father of our country" (Washington); "The inventor of a practical electric light" (Edison); "The mother of the civil rights movement" (Rosa Parks). Boys line up in relay fashion, facing a board with the photos mounted. The leader reads a descriptive phrase, and the first boy in each team races to the board to touch the correct picture. Score one point for the first to touch correctly. Continue through the 10 heroes.
