The Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, is a United Way agency.
Greetings! ,
Get all your Scouts involved in an outdoor activity this fall. New Scouts, leaders and families are eager to experience the fun and adventure that Scouting promises.
All new Cub Scouts and their families are invited to attend Taste of Scouting on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Beaumont Scout Reservation. This event is a great opportunity for new parents to see the Scouting program in action and to visit one of the Council's camping facilities.
Thanks to all leaders who fulfill Scouting's promise in our communities.
--Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America
--P.S.: Please be generous when asked to participate in your United Way campaign. The Council receives approximately 19 percent of its operating budget from United Way agencies. More...

Popcorn Sale Provides Firm Foundation For Unit Programs
One annual fundraiser can adequately fill your unit's bank account so leaders, members and parents can spend more time on program. Here's why Camp Masters popcorn sales succeed:
Excess inventory associated with other product sales is eliminated along with other risks.
A 40-percent commission is returned to the unit on the top three high-end products
Anyone can send $25 worth of popcorn to our country's service men and women in the military
Web-based ordering saves time.
Camp Master's sales incentive program eliminates the task of ordering prizes.

Leader Tip:
Costume Relay
Materials: Two sets of clothes for each team to put on (pants, shirt, hat, gloves, and coat) Divide boys into two teams. The first boy on each team runs to the table where the clothes are and puts each garment on. He then runs to tag the next player in line, who runs back with him to the table. Exchange the worn clothes with the replacement boy. Repeat until the last boy has had a chance to wear the outer clothing. Source:Cub Scout Program Helps, Oct. 2008 (PDF)
