Greetings!
Fall is here and Scouts are eager to participate fun and adventure. New Cub Scouts and their families are invited to attend Taste of Scouting on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Beaumont Scout Reservation.
New Cub Scouts can spend the day doing archery, crossing a monkey bridge, building crafts, climbing aboard a pirate ship and many other fun activities. Come and go as you like. You may bring a picnic lunch. Cost is $5 per family.
Thanks to all leaders who fulfill Scouting's promise in our communities.

Bass Pro Shops Welcomes Troops, New Boy Scouts On Oct. 27
Boy Scout troops are invited to demonstrate outdoor skills and welcome new Boy Scouts during Bass Pro Shops' Fall Scouting event. It will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Bass Pro Shops, 1365 South Fifth St. in St. Charles.
Troops are welcome to assist in activities, such as archery, camping, fly fishing, and more. Boys who register to join a Boy Scout troop will receive incentives from Bass Pro Shops. Participating Boy Scout troops also will be eligible for incentives and prizes.

Volunteers Needed For St. Louis Blues' Shoot Against Hunger
The St. Louis Blues are partnering with the Greater St. Louis Area Council in a Shoot Against Hunger. Approximately 40 Scout volunteers--age 11 and older--are needed to help collect non-perishable food and cash donations before the Saturday, Nov. 3, game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Any fan who donates will have the chance to go down onto the ice to take a shot on goal after the game. Shoot Against Hunger will kick off the Greater St. Louis Area Council's Scouting for Food Campaign. All donations will benefit the St. Louis Area Foodbank.
Boy Scouts are encouraged to volunteer and will be paired with an adult. Volunteers must be able to arrive by 5:45 p.m. Volunteers do not need a ticket and will be able to watch the game from the Top Shelf area on the mezzanine level after the first intermission. Barynard Scramble Game
Give each child the name of an animal on a slip of paper. Make sure there are at least two of each animal. On the signal, the kids must make the sound that their animal makes and try to find other kids with the same animal.

Whether your child is just starting kindergarten, entering the final year of high school or is somewhere in between, there are many good reasons and opportunities for you to volunteer at school.
