Greetings!

Welcome to the first Digital Duffle Bag. This e-mail newsletter will be sent on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. It will supplement--not replace--the Duffle Bag newspaper.

It will contain news and information to help adult volunteer leaders deliver a high-quality Scouting program. It will help parents become more supportive of their child as they advance in Scouting and show them how to assist their unit.

Thank you for your support and commitment to our Scouting program.John M. Primrose

Cub Scout Game
Leader Tip
Need an easy game for your next den, troop or crew meeeting? Here's one that helps build teamwork and improve communication:
Crowd Squeezer: Spread a sheet or blanket on the grass or ground and challenge everyone to get on it so that no part of any person's body touches the ground beyond the blanket. If the group succeeds, fold the blanket in half and try again. Continue in this way to see how small an area the group can squeeze on to.

Parent Tip
The following paragraphs are from John Maxwell's newsletter, Leadership Wired:

Children astound me with their inquisitive minds. The world is wide and mysterious to them, and as they piece together the puzzle of life, they ask "Why?" ceaselessly. Why can't they have another cookie? Why can't they stay up after 9:00 pm? Why do they have to share their toys? Why does grandpa have white hair?

As we age, it seems our childlike curiosity diminishes. Yet, after all I have learned, I realize there's even more I've not yet discovered. More...
