"Creating paintings and interiors that fire the imagination, stir the deepest emotions, inspire the soul, and offer new things to explore upon each viewing is the most gratifying and satisfying thing I can do with my art.          -CJ

Spring Projects:
Consultation for Color,
Design, and Restoration

As we excitingly greet Spring, we are busy helping homeowners get ready to tackle their warm weather projects -- exterior painting, remodels, restorations and additions.

Exterior Color
1927 English Cottage
1927 English Cottage

We designed this color scheme to honor the architecture of the home and satisfy the owner's dream of house married to landscape. Carefully chosen colors create a dynamic relationship between the house and the cottage garden. House and landscape become one.

Nothing makes your home more inviting than well chosen colors. We will help you find the perfect colors to transform your home into the warm and welcoming shelter you've always hoped it would be. The advent of Spring is the best time to finalize your exterior paint colors so you can begin painting when the time is right. To schedule a color consultation call Barbara at 503.234.4167.

Monogram Bard

The perfect combination of colors and the right color placement were critical for the preservation efforts of this National Trust landmark. Our color consultations help home owners through the process of choosing colors as well as providing detailed specifications showing where to place colors for use by the painters.

On Exhibit:

CJ's paintings are featured in three
exhibits this month

Caladan Gallery's "Elemental Spring"

The light changes, the air becomes sweet - a breeze works its way through growth and the shoots of plants - the sun's rays dance on the water and weave through shadow; All is an interplay of elemental celebration. New growth is making its way through the soil and Autumn's detrium. The work selected for this exhibition is a mirror of this; the natural beauty, the beginning and the hope.

"Purple Flower"
Acrylic on Canvas
$3000.00

Purple Flower

Hidden among an abstract conglomeration of root, sky, seed, and stream,
a lone purple flower finds life and blossoms towards the infinite sky.

Elemental Spring is a juried online exhibition with a fine art gallery. We appreciate the themes of the Caladan Gallery's shows. This is the first time CJ has participated in an online exhibition and we thought Elemental Spring was perfect theme for many of CJ's paintings -- especially "Purple Flower".

The Jacobs Gallery  "The Living River"

What makes a river alive? How does a river bring life to a community? Artists explore their interactions with and responses to rivers in this juried art exhibit of 81 works in a diversity of media. More than sixty artists from throughout our region are featured.

Celebrating the beauty and vibrancy of the rivers and streams of western Oregon and the important role they play in our communities.

The importance of nature and the health of our natural environment is a recurring theme in CJ's work. We are pleased to support the McKenzie River Trust and their efforts to bring awareness of land conservation to a wider audience.
