The first of every year is always the busiest time at gyms, but as time goes by, the number of people working out gradually declines. Let's face it, it's hard to stick to your fitness resolutions!

I would like to congratulate Mike & Trish Womack and the entire Union Crew family for putting on such a fabulous & fun weekend at their recent UC Star Awards event, "The Academy Awards of Line Dancing"! Congratulations to all of the winners & nominees. Thanks for inviting me to participate as an Awards Presenter and Forum Panelist, and to experience a great time with my new line dance family & friends! The weekend couldn't have ended better at Randy & Tanya Dennis' monthly Line Dance Brunch! Pics now posted.

On a very sad note, I just learned last night that 2 of our favorite and popular Chicago Steppers have been recently struck with tragedy: Melvin "Melly Mel" Knowles, member of Platinum Steppers, lost his twin brother Michael on Friday. Condolences, cards, etc. can be sent to: Melvin Knowles, 1555 Riverwalk Trail, College Park, GA 30049. Mr. Ellery, owner of Ellery's Nightclub and one of the primary Atlanta-based club owners who has consistently catered to Chicago Steppers for the last 12 years, lost his life-long companion of 45 years, Ms. Dee on yesterday. Please lift both of them and their families in prayer. (Thanks Marie Leslie & Houston Fflagg for the prompt info)
