July is here!  Are you enjoying the best of the dog days of Summer?  I hope you are finding some time to have some fun, stay cool, and connect with your loved ones during this joyous time of year.

In the middle of June, I went on another one of my retreats with the Center for Sacred Studies, my spiritual community based out of California.  At the retreat, I set an intention that I wanted to remove anything that was getting in the way of me getting as big as possible, and I asked Spirit to open any and all doors that will help me realize my professional goals.  Through powerful healing, conscious thought, inspired action and prayer, I came down from the mountain with a renewed sense of trust and openness to the possibilities that lie before me.

Within twenty-four hours of returning home, I received a phone call from someone at the National Speakers Association that I have been chosen as one of the top five finalists for the "So You Think You Can Speak?" competition at the national convention next month!  Needless to say, this is a ginormous opportunity for me.  I will be presenting five minutes of "GET BIG: The HoopWoman's Guide to Living Freely and Fully" in front of a massive group of people, many of whom are top-tier speakers and industry big-wigs.  As I write this, I am a bubbling mass of jubilant enthusiasm and abject terror.

It doesn't much matter if I win the competition or nab some juicy speaking engagements from my time on the NSA mainstage.  (Note to Spirit: I deserve, appreciate and warmly receive all bounties you send my way!)  Rather, I have already received the gift of the honor of being selected as a finalist, and I firmly believe that it is a sign from the Universe that says juicy things are on their way to me.  When I heard the good news, I immediately said a prayer of gratitude to the Divine for responding to my requests and orchestrating this wonderful series of events.  Thanks to this obvious sign, my trust is stronger than ever before, and I KNOW KNOW KNOW that feeling one's prayer is the most powerful way to create the life you desire and deserve.

What do you want to create in your life?  Are you asking for it?  More importantly, are you feeling it?  When we come from a place of humility, clarity and power, we can do so much.  Doors get opened that couldn't possibly have been opened by yourself.  Magic starts to unfold.  Dreams start to come true.
