Greetings!
How was your February? Did you find some time to give yourself some love as well as to others in your world? I hope so!
Since last month's Rose Report, I am happy to report that I have posted over twenty webisodes of my newest personal video blog, "The HoopWoman Diaries"! If you have watched any of them, you know that I have recorded them on various stages, including the office, living room, kitchen, car, raquetball court, yoga mat, and the beach. I've worn fancy work attire, yoga togs, hoop gear, and (gasp!) even a swimsuit. My topics range anywhere from the silly to the sacred, and my intention is to impart some little bit of wisdom in each and every clip. I am learning to embrace the camera as a part of my life, and when an inspirational or teaching moment presents itself, I get out my trusty iPhone and press Record. Sometimes I am afraid about how I look or what I say, but I am doing them anyway. I am facing the demon of judgment head-on, and I am finding it to be tremendously empowering. For those of you who have subscribed to The Diaries, thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me in my process.
As with most things, the growth I am experiencing through "The HoopWoman Diaries" is not without its challenges. I hate to admit it, but I have had on more than one occasion slipped into a major tizzy after noticing an "Unlike" on my YouTube page, a "lost" Facebook Fan, or single-digit view counts. On days when I am small, I act like a modern-day Sally Field off her meds shouting at the computer, "You don't like me! You really don't like me!!" Still, I post. When I feel that familiar pang of self-loathing, I realize that it is a fantasy that has started to play out with my ego in the starring role. The Diaries give me juicy opportunities several times a week to look at my shadow and decide if I want to give it any power or not. Sometimes I remember that I am amazing, and other times I fall into the Sally Field trap. Thankfully, I am having more BIG moments than small ones.
How about you? Are you opening yourself up to being amazing, despite what others are thinking or saying or doing? Are you saying pish-posh to the Haters, or are you falling into the "Not Good Enough" hole that they want you to be in? It is my wish for you that you recognize your awesomeness and shout it from the rooftops! We can be confident without being arrogant. We can be powerful without being pushy. We can be Divine without being preachy. We are THAT good, and we should let our Light shine as brightly as possible so others can see how it's done.
Thank you for your support, and I hope that your March is full of joy, peace, and special surprises. You deserve it.
Take care, and make it a wonderful month!
Many blessings,
Theresa

About Town
I often perform my keynote presentations for associations and corporations, and it is somewhat rare that I have an opportunity to share my presentations with the general public. However, every once in a while an opportunity presents itself where the public can come join in on the fun.
On March 1, I will be performing the closing keynote at the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce's event, "The WomEn's Conference" in Eagan, MN. This is a jam-packed day of great presentations, vendor showcases, and networking. If you are a woman in the Twin Cities and interested in a fun way to meet new people (and want to see moi do my thing), check it out! I hope to see you there.

Under the Dome

My next Celebration Service at LHSC will be on March 4, 2012 from 10:30am-11:30am. The title of my service is "Flow Like Water", and I will be sharing a message on adaptability in the face of difficult change. I hope you can join me for an inspired morning of Spirit! If you are unable to attend in person but want to check out my last service, visit the LHSC YouTube channel! There are four videos for your viewing pleasure. I hope you enjoy watching my services as much as I enjoy delivering them. I am also pleased to announce a new monthly event I'll be hosting called "Sitting in Sacred Circle with Theresa Rose". Beginning on Wednesday, March 7th at 7:00pm and the first Wednesday of every month thereafter, I'll be conducting an intimate spiritual dialogue and ceremony at LHSC. The suggested donation is $5 or more, and all proceeds are being donated to LHSC in support of the new "Conscious Giving for Conscious Living" fundraising campaign. If you would like to attend, please wear comfortable clothing and bring a meditation pillow on which to sit. Feel free to bring a drum and sacred object for our altar too! It will be a special time to go inward and connect with that Divine Beauty that you are.

Stuff I Love
OK, I admit that this month's entry in the "Stuff I Love" section is a little odd. However, when I was thinking about something that had the greatest impact on me last month, it was nothing other than the humble neti pot.
If you haven't ever heard of a neti pot before, allow me to introduce you to this oldie but goodie. The neti pot has been around for hundreds of years and was used in ancient India as part of ayurvedic medicine. It is the process by which the nasal passages are cleansed of infection-causing bacteria, typically with a saline solution. I know what you are thinking -- EWWWW!!! But I have to tell you, this thing works. I have had two sinus infections this winter, and the duration and intensity of both of them were dramatically reduced because I used the neti pot several times a day. I am sure that if I were really diligent and used it every day regardless of symptoms, I probably wouldn't have gotten the two infections in the first place.
How does it feel, you ask? In a word -- freaky. It takes some getting used to, and the first few times I was completely weirded out. My eyes began to tear up, and would have a coughing jag that was spurred on by my own squeamishness. However, once I got past the initial ookiness, I found that after clearing my passages with the neti, my head felt clearer and I could breathe easier. The ooky factor is a small price to pay for feeling better.
A plastic version of the neti pot can be purchased at any drug store, or you can spring for a fancier ceramic one online. Either kind work just fine. For those of you who suffer from allergies, sinus infections, and frequent colds, you may want to consider the neti pot, especially during this season. It's weird but it's good! Happy pouring!(PS -- Some people can't use the neti pot due to their particular sinus configuration. If you can't, I still recommend using a saline spray to keep those passages clean.)
