Monthly Message: Peace on Earth & Within

I hope you enjoy receiving The Rose Report. However, if you do not want to receive it anymore, you may unsubscribe with one click at the bottom of this page. Thank you!
Happy holidays! I hope you are enjoying this wonderful time of the year. Michael, Emma and I had a fantastic Thanksgiving, and we are looking forward to seeing family and friends during Christmastime. I am especially excited to see my niece, Briana, who has been living in Abu Dhabi since August! I am sure that my jaw will be aching from all of the catching up we will do.
This time of the year brings with it a palpable sense of purpose -- of peace, of gratitude, and of sacredness. Living a peaceful life can oftentimes be difficult, especially when we are faced with health challenges, financial difficulties, and relationship woes. However, I have found that sinking into my belief and trust in Spirit always helps me move to a place of inner peace that guides me through even the most difficult of obstacles, each and every time.
During this holiday season, I invite you to join me in creating an atmosphere of Peace on Earth and Peace Within. Let's use this time to let go of the stuff that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, and embrace the really important things -- health, love, joy, and connections. Let's BE PRESENT to the many gifts we have in our lives, regardless of the packages under the tree or what is purchased at Target. Let us soften to the sacredness of All That Is and recognize that peace is available RIGHT NOW, if we choose it. We can choose to trust that everything is unfolding exactly as it needs to, and be grateful for the many juicy opportunities for growth and illumination. Spirit often gives us gifts in "interesting" packages, but it is up to us to recognize them and reap the benefits from them.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support of my work, and I wish you the happiest of holidays for you and yours.
Take care, and make it a wonderful day.
Blessings,
Theresa

Under the Dome: What's New at LHSC

I am sooooooo excited about my Lake Harriet Spiritual Community services this month! My Sunday Celebration Service will be held on Sunday, December 19th at 10:30am and is called, "Hope and Trust: The Cornerstones of Modern Spirituality". The impetus for this service was a fundraising event I attended earlier in the year for Hope Chest for Breast Cancer. Hope Chest is a phenomenal non-profit organization here in the Twin Cities that helps under-served or financially challenged women fighting breast cancer. The event included a concert from Alison Scott, one of the region's most popular recording musicians and all-around beautiful person. I was so taken with the event and Alison's out-of-this-world, powerhouse talent that I asked her to be my musical guest for my December service. Much to my delight, she said YES! Alison is AMAZING; you'll love to hear her live under the dome! I'm so pumped.
I will also be conducting the Christmas Eve service on December 24th from 6:00-7:00pm with Mick Sterling providing the music. The service is called "A Candlelit Evening of Yuletide Celebration", and will be chock-a-block full of family-friendly Christmas joy. I hope you and yours can incorporate this special event in your holiday plans! What better way to kick off your family's Christmas Eve festivities?
I hope you can join us under the dome for a morning of inspiration, meditation, and music! Make sure to stop by and say hello after the service.

In honor of Alison Scott performing at my Sunday service at LHSC this month, I wanted to share her incredible new CD with you! It is called "Chinese Whispers" and it is hard-core addictive. You know how there are a few CDs you come across that when you listen to it the first time around, it immediately hooks you? That is what "Chinese Whispers" did to me. It's hard to identify my favorite songs, as each one of them totally f'ing rocks. However, if I were stranded on a desert island with only two tracks to listen to, it would be "So Why" and "Smash and Grab". It's crazy how good these tunes are; I love love LOVE them! Click here to listen, and I dare you not to fall in love with them just like I did. Your toes will be tapping and that bad mood you were in will magically evaporate.
