FEATURED READER RESPONSE

"A friend recommended this book to me - and I only read a few pages before I fell completely in love with it. Theresa has a way with words that will have you laughing audibly in no time. Her incredible honesty about herself and those around her, coupled with her extraordinary self-awareness, makes this book a heart-felt journey into the minds of every woman.
I simply loved this book. "

You can purchase Opening the Kimono on my web site, Amazon, or your favorite local bookstore.

If you have already read it, I would be most grateful if you would tell a friend about it and write a 5-star Review for Amazon.

Thank you for your support!

Introducing TheresaRose.com!

Theresa Rose.com

I am thrilled to announce the launch of my new web site, www.TheresaRose.com!  If you are a long-time reader of The Rose Report, you know that I have been focusing my efforts on growing my professional motivational speaking career.  While things have been going exceptionally well for me, I felt it was necessary to revamp my old web site to cater more specifically to the meeting planner audience while positioning me as a leader in the speaking industry.  (A speaker's web site and video are two of the most important things that decision-makers use when choosing a speaker.)   My dearest husband slaved over the computer for several months to create the site for me, and I couldn't be happier with the end results!  However, I did miss him terribly when I lost him to the glow of the iMac every night.

The intention of TheresaRose.com is to highlight my skills and experience as a keynote speaker and to make it easy for potential clients to find all of the information they need to hire me for their next big event.  Prior to development, Michael and I did a buttload of research on best practices and what other top-end speaker web sites contain.  Night after night, week after week, and month after month, we discussed the best approach to take and wrote pages of content which would show me in the best possible light.  While the site is primarily designed for meeting planners, it still offers individuals to connect with me via The Rose Report and Daily Doses of Mojo, network with me via social media, and provide an opportunity to check out Opening the Kimono: A Woman's Intimate Journey Through Life's Biggest Challenges.  Please take a moment to visit the site.  I'd love to get your feedback on it!  (Note: If you are using an older browser version of Internet Explorer, IE6, you will have some trouble viewing it; we are fixing it.)  If you know of any organization that may be interested in having me as a speaker, feel free to share the link with them too.

This development project was time-consuming, difficult, and caused many sleepless nights for hubby and me.  There were many times when we wanted to throw in the towel and say, "Enough!  We just can't get there from here!"  However, we knew that the end result would be well worth the effort.  Every single one of us has big projects we want to accomplish, lofty dreams we want to realize, and new worlds we want to explore.  When we go after something big, we need to tap into our deep reserves of patience, creativity, physical and mental energy, and most importantly, belief.  We need to believe in ourselves!  We need to believe that we deserve the best, that we have the ability to accomplish anything we set out to do, and that Spirit will provide us with the right opportunities, inspiration, and guidance we need to get to the end zone.  We need to shed the fear that keeps us small and unwilling to go into uncharted territory.  Staying the same is easy; growing and evolving takes effort.  Is it time for you to take on a new initiative in your own life?  Are you ready to launch the next great version of YOU?

I hope you have a fabulous September and enjoy the coming of Autumn.  It is the season of harvest, and it's time for us to reap those benefits that are waiting for us!  Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Take care, and MAKE it a great day!

Blessings,

Theresa

Under the Dome

LHSC

My services at Lake Harriet Spiritual Community have been fantastic!  I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to regularly share some spiritual mojo with my peeps in the Twin Cities.  My last service, "And the Healing Has Begun" was warmly received by over 100 people.  I delivered a message on accountability, forgiveness, and compassion, and afterward, I led the congregation in a meditation of Ho'oponopono, an ancient Hawaiian healing practice.  Interspersed throughout the service was the wonderful music of Michael Monroe.

Mick SterlingMy next service will be held on Sunday, September 19th at 10:30am and is titled "Sex and Spirituality: Celebrating the Divine Union".  I will share a sassy yet serious message on the power of sacred sexuality.  When we fully embrace ourselves as sexual beings, we not only tap into our full Divine potential, but we can also create a sacred (and delicious!) relationship with another.  Sultry blues man Mick Sterling is the perfect musical guest for this non-traditional celebration service!  Mick and his band, the Stud Brothers, are inductees into the Mid-America Music Hall of Fame.

Come out and join us under the dome for a morning of inspiration, meditation, and music!  Make sure to stop by and say hello after the service.

Stuff I Like

Samantha Bee
If you are a fan of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart", you undoubtedly know of Samantha Bee -- the hilarious, brazen, and utterly courageous faux-news correspondent.  She is one of my "Daily Show" faves; I always love to see what outrageous hijinx she gets herself into!  When I heard that she wrote a book, I knew I had to get it.

I read her book, "i know i am, but what are you?" over a weekend and spent most of the time laughing like a hyena.  She has a gift for clever wordsmithing and has a delightful, self-deprecating style.  Samantha reminds me of Chelsea Handler, another comedic writer that I adore.  If you are in the mood to laugh out loud like a maniac, pick up Samantha Bee's newest book!  I hope you love it like I did.  I've already recommended it to several of my gal pals.
