Give the Gift of Life This Holiday
|
Atlanta animal shelters are overwhelmed. One area shelter had
more than 40 owner surrenders on Saturday! And when shelters are full, the pets
brought in by their owners are often euthanized the same day, because there is
simply no space available. Please consider giving a shelter pet the gift of life. **Here's a gift idea that gives back! Sponsor an AARF pet in honor of a loved one through AARF's Paw Pals program!**

SHELTER SPOTLIGHT: ORANGE TABBY
|
This cat is a nice, friendly male domestic short-hair who needs a name and a home. He is an orange tabby with white markings.
Intake date: 10/01/2009. Lost and stray animals are held at DeKalb Animal Services for a
five business day stray waiting period in order to give their owners a
chance to reclaim. After that time period, adoptable animals are held only
as long as space allows. Click here to find out more about this sweet kitty!

AARF PET SPOTLIGHT: WILSON
|
Wilson is about 2 years old and
is as chill as chill can be. We think his mom was an Australian
Shepherd mix and his dad was a Beagle mix of some
kind. He loves to give kisses and
hugs to his foster mom, and he gets along really
well with other dogs. He probably
will be best in a home without cats since he sometimes tends to chase them. He is eager to please and knows how to sit and raise his paw
on command.
He is up to date on shots, microchipped, neutered, and housebroken. For more about wonderful Wilson, click here!

AARF PET SPOTLIGHT: NOLA
|
Nola was abandoned on the doorstep of Camp Kitty without a
note or any identification. Luckily, she was taken in and given food, water and TLC. Considering
what she has been through, she is the sweetest and most trusting
cat you will ever meet. She loves to snuggle and touch
noses. When left alone, she likes to sit on a high perch observing whatever is going on
below. She would be the best
to cuddle up with in the winter months. She is around 3 years old and is spayed,
up-to-date on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative. Click here to find out more about Nola!
