flour in hand
Numerous studies in recent years reinforce recommendations from the USDA Dietary Guidelines to eat more whole grains ? at least three servings a day. Eating whole grains, according to these studies and these guidelines, helps control weight. It also offers other health benefits, including a reduced risk of cancer, heart attacks and diabetes. And Great Harvest has the freshest and most nutritious whole grains anywhere! Other bread is made from flour that is weeks or months old, nutrients are lost, fats, oils and dough conditioners are added for moisture and preservatives must be used to extend shelf life. Through our milling and baking process at Great Harvest, those nutrients are naturally preserved and is why it tastes so delicious. And, because it is so fresh, it lasts 7-10 days right on your counter top. Great Harvest has been using whole grains and milling wheat daily since the first bakery opened 30 years ago.

Honey Whole Wheat w/ Wheat
1. Hole in the wall ? slice a piece of bread, cut out a hole with a biscuit cutter (an empty can works too). Fry the egg in the hole. Viola?, a complete, and fun breakfast! 2. As a snack. A plain slice or a slice spread with low-fat cream cheese. A dieter?s dream ? it fills you up and is extremely low in fat. 3. Mini pizzas ? top your bread with pizza sauce, cheese and assorted pizza toppings. Broil until the cheese melts. A meal in itself, yum! 4. Any deli sandwich is fabulous on honey whole wheat. Try this: spread a slice of honey whole wheat with Italian dressing. Top with your favorite meat (we recommend garlic roast beef from your deli), thin tomato slices, red onion slices and a slice of your favorite cheese. Broil until the cheese melts.
