Mudlove Pottery, a studio in the Village at Winona, in Indiana donates a portion of their sales to ICDI for well drilling. But that wasn't enough for Luke Wright. He wants to see people more involved in the process of giving, and to really see the needs in Africa themselves. Through pottery workshops in local school's 5th grade classes, he thinks he's found a way. The classes from seven different schools will be creating clay people during Luke's in-school workshops, and will then have the opportunity to sell their creations, with all proceeds going towards well repair and drilling in the Central African Republic through ICDI. Check out the video for more details.

We're really excited to see people like Luke creatively using their own personal gifts, abilities, and resources to make a difference in people's lives in Africa! Who would have thought that a pottery class for 5th graders would be the perfect platform to educate the public about water needs in Africa?!
We hope Luke's efforts inspire you to use your own resources to further our efforts in the Central African Republic. Make sure you check out the Mudlove website for details, or if you're in the Warsaw area, you can even purchase one of the clay people on May 14th, from 5-8 PM in the Village at Winona.
