Message from the Director

The semester is coming to an end, but much is going on at CPD.  Our advisory board met in New York to talk about current and future projects, with special emphasis on raising funds to support our ambitious agenda.  We have recently published a report about last February's conference, "Science Diplomacy and the Prevention of Conflict," which is available on the CPD website, as is our recently published annual report.

Planning is under way for our next major conference, which will address "Faith Diplomacy: Religion and Global Publics" and will take place on the USC campus January 27 and 28.  We have begun a news monitor about this exciting and challenging topic, and we will soon post the list of conference panels and speakers on our website.  The conference is open to the public at no charge, so please plan to attend if your schedule allows.

In the meantime, best wishes for the holiday season from everyone at the Center on Public Diplomacy.

Sincerely,
Philip Seib
Director, USC Center on Public Diplomacy
