Greetings!

The conversation is continuing over at the Collision Repair forum regarding process improvement.

Sharon Wells (always one of the most active people in our community of readers) posted the following:

It has been my observation that principles of lean are paramount in the front of the operation, not only in the back; that is sometimes overlooked. It is difficult to implement change in administrative processes. Something I read a long time ago has always kept me on track:"never outsource your eyes"; if at all possible do the job yourself first and observe "what" needs to change before you know "how" to change it.

Thanks for the great advice Sharon!

Scott had a message of a different ilk: a request:

I am working on production and administrative process for our shop right now. I would appreciate any assistance or copies of other's written process to use as guides as I go through this exercise.

It's great to see a conversation starting to pick up. Let's keep it going!
