Greetings!
As I'm writing this, the window near my desk is threatening to glaze over with snow, which is good news for area collision repairers (you may be hearing from me soon, in fact, unless get back into the swing of winter driving).
Looking at the weather report, much of eastern Canada is facing a similar forecast: snow. Let's hope it keeps up and that we'll get a regular winter this year.
My question to you is how's it impacting business so far this year? Is it back to normal? Better than expected?
Even better: do you have any tips for the community about staying on top of the rush?
If you look to the left you'll see the link to our Twitter page. If you are on Twitter, consider sending an answer that way (use the @collisionmag tag and we'll push it out to all our followers).
Or there's always good old fashion email; send a note to [email protected] and I can push it out to the community on your behalf. (If you include a link to your business's website I can make sure to link to it.)
Just a thought.
| See you next week. Take care,
-Joe Rayment Editor, Collision Repair Magazine [email protected]

IBIS 2011 momentum grows
As momentum for the forthcoming International Bodyshop Industry Symposium--IBIS 2011--gathers pace conference director David Lingham offered an update on next May's Symposium. "IBIS 2011 takes place next May (16-18) in Barcelona, at the fabulous Hotel Arts Barcelona," Lingham said. "Although the collision repair market has been facing tough times, I have been sensing a new mood of optimism of late. We've got six of the maximum ten IBIS sponsors already confirmed, with global paint giants AkzoNobel and BASF joining existing sponsors 3M, Audatex, Enterprise and Thatcham, and in recent weeks we had a number of new inquiries from other major players seriously interested in sponsoring IBIS 2011."
