Hope you enjoyed your Labour Day!

In this week's eZine, we're also focused on labour. The results are in from Tom Bissonnette's estimating study, and his findings were quite shocking.

A good number of the respondents didn't charge for a lot of the work that they do, which he sees as essentially giving the insurance companies freebies.

Some of the elements he picked up on are fairly new additions to the list of things insurance companies will accept, but others were basic procedures.

As an added bonus, the ASA has given us permission to post their Base Coat Reductions and Zone Refinish for Repaired Panels Worksheet--it's a great tool to help explain just what goes into a proper repair to insurers.

I-CAR president to retire at year's end

At a meeting of I-CAR staff held on Thursday, September 2, president and CEO John Edelen shared his plans to retire from I-CAR, The Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, at the end of 2010.

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Refinishes has released the summer edition of its e-Finish newsletter, available here. This issue features Maaco Regina who--of the 475 Maaco franchises--are the company's top performing location.
