Vote For Maggie!
 20 20

Maggie Szabo, a pop/R&B/soul artist and songwriter from Dundas, ON (Daughter of Alex from Dundas Valley Collision Centre)  needs our help to win! A magazine in Australia featured her as "Artist of the Month", and nominated her as "Most Fascinating Female Artist of the Year".  Whoever ends up in the top 10 with the most votes will be featured on the website and the special February issue of the magazine next year. Great for her career!! The poll closes on the 6th of January, 2010, and voters are eligible to vote once per day.  Basically, this would be great exposure for her.

Greetings!

It's a new year and a new work season and I hope you're all adjusting well. I know we at CRM are. We're back on a regular (non-holiday) schedule and we'll be updating the website several times daily from here on out.

Personally, I try to avoid making New Year's resolutions. Instead, I like to use it as an opportunity to fortify. So for the time being I'd like to focus on strengthening our on-the-ground coverage of the industry.

Which ties into my next point: I'll be in Vancouver until late February-early March. So if you're part of a facility out west that's holding an event, innovating or doing something generally interesting, drop me a line and I'll do my very best to go out to cover it in person.

If you're not out west, send me an email anyway and I'll still do my best to have one of our team members visit or at least give you the coverage you deserve.

See you soon,

-Joe Rayment

CAA prioritizes highway tow service due to extreme weather

CAA South Central Ontario prioritized its tow service Monday due to the high volume of calls for help from its members resulting from the extreme weather. CAA serviced priority calls on highways before members who are at home in their driveways, due to safety issues. As of 11 am Monday morning, wait times in the GTA were 60 to 70 minutes for light service and 75 minutes for non-priority tows. Rural areas experienced wait times of 90 to 120 minutes.

AutoCanada Income Fund and AutoCanada Inc have recently announced the closing of their conversion of the fund's trust structure to a corporation pursuant to a plan of arrangement transaction under the Canada Business Corporations Act.

Event Flyer Don't forget: Co-Auto is hosting a special education event for all of its GTA customers & associates. They are introducing a Weld Bond Training course from Fusor scheduled for January 14th at Leons Auto Body (9 Vanley Crescent, North York).

New! You can view the event's full flyer here.
That's all for another week. Make sure to visit collisionrepairmagazine.com every day for the latest news.
Sincerely,

The Collision Repair Team.
