Blame the Victim
: When two cars collided head-on in Salem, Mass., police figured they knew wath the cause was: one of the vehicles was driving 85 mph in a 35 mph zone and had swerved into the other car's lane. However, an injured passenger in the at fault car has filed a lawsuit against the other driver, claiming that if she had been quicker to get out of the way, the collision wouldn't have happened.

Mitchell International Partners with Thatcham

Mitchell International has announced a partnership with Thatcham (The Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre). This groundbreaking partnership marks the first time Thatcham's fully researched, proprietary repair methodologies will be offered in the North American collision repair market.

Today's modern vehicles are increasingly unique and very much individual in their design. Each model year vehicle manufacturers add sophisticated technology to improve structural strength. While these advancements result in improved vehicle safety, cars have consequently become much more difficult to return to pre-accident condition, posing unique repair challenges. Thatcham's online solution, ThatchamNet, works in concert and complements Mitchell Information Center's OEM repair data, to provide technicians with the critical collision repair information they need to keep up with the industry's increasing demands.
