Hot Cup of Hero?: A cup of hot coffee helped prevent a carjacking in Indiana. The victim said he was accosted by a man with a gun while standing by his car. A struggle ensued, during which the gun fell to the ground. A bystander ran up and threw a cup of coffee in the carjacker's face. The two then knocked the guy to the ground and held him there until police arrived.

Not Great Driving: A 93-year-old driver apparently suffering from dementia fatally struck a pedestrian and drove for three miles with the man's body through his windshield, police said.

CSN Hosts Insurance Mix and Mingle Brewery Tour
Collision Solutions Network (CSN) hosted an Insurance Mix and Mingle Appreciation night at the historic Alexander Keith's Brewery in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  With over 90 people in attendance, the event was held the evening prior to recent the CCIF conference.

AkzoNobel will host its third Leadership Summit for members of the Sikkens Acoat selected program. The event will be held September 25-27, 2009 at the Running Cougar Ranch located near Houston, Texas.
