: A Florida woman allegedly crashed her car into her boyfriend's pickup truck, endangering her two children with her in the car. She told police her boyfriend was about to drive drunk and hitting him was the best way to prevent danger to others.

Abraca-idiot:
A Washington state man was charged with fatally running over a gas station attendant who tried to stop him from leaving without paying. When he was captured, he told police that he had run over the woman because she looked like she was about to "cast a spell" on him.

There's something about hitting the open road that appeals to the romantic in all of us. The car repair business doesn't allow us to indulge it much, but for some people travelling is their life. Check out "Storm Chasers" below for an example of what I'm talking about.

Storm Chasers: Auto Dentist Travels the World

Auto body repair is something we usually think of as being rooted to the earth. It's a bricks-and-mortar business, not something you can do online or on the road. Or can you?

The days of online dent repair may never come, but there is at least company in Canada that does take things on the road as a matter of course. Auto Dentist is a Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) company based out of Ottawa. The company itself may have a central location, but its hail crew travels all over Canada, the United States and even Europe chasing hail storms.

Recyclers Begin Training for National
Code of Practice

Automotive recyclers have already begun training to uphold the industry's new National Code of Practice. The new code is in support of Retire Your Ride, Canada's national vehicle retirement strategy. A day long training event was held in Mississauga, Ontario, with 25 companies in attendance. The training was conducted by Colin McKeon. McKeon is well acquainted with the training, as his home province of British Columbia has had a code very similar to the new national code for the last seven years.

Co-Auto Cooperative recently hosted an open house event at their warehouse and head office in Woodbridge, Ontario. The occasion was to celebrate Co-Auto Co-Operative's 30 years of serving the automotive industry.
