Is This For Real?
Setting a Good Example: Jim Fouts is the Mayor of Warren, Michigan. When he was stopped for speeding recently, he was let off with a warning. Mayor Fouts said that wasn't good enough. He demanded a ticket instead, and got it!
That's One Supportive Mom: A 37-year-old woman in Great Falls, Montana was accused of driving her son and his friends around the city as the teens stole items from cars. Police learned about the case when the woman's husband called to report that he found a pile of stuff in his backyard that he thought might be stolen.

Did you Know...?

Road Repair? Why Bother?: Officials in the small English village of Navestock, some 25 miles northeast of London, are considering leaving many of the town's potholes unfilled as a way to bedevil the speeders who zip through town at breakneck pace!

Greetings!
I came across an interesting story in the Detroit Free Press this morning. It seems Auto One, a company that supplies glass and auto accessories managed to boost its sales by 8 per cent in 2008, despite the economic downturn and a limp automotive industry. The company says they did it by partnering with a sales communications firm that delivers a system of learning called the
Language of Commitment. This program combines live
training, telephone coaching, online classes and mystery shopping to
aid individuals in relating with one another. By putting these principles in play,
Auto One employees were able to build stronger relationships with
existing customers and prospects. The lesson to be learned here is that if you can connect with your customers better than the competition, you too can enjoy increased sales. It's something to think about. Mike Davey,Editor

New Products at PBE Distributors' Events PBE Distributors recently ran two "What's New Nights," with one running
in Toronto and another in London. The purpose behind the events was to
expose jobbers to new products and technology making its way into
collision repair facilities.
"These events are essential for jobbers," says Darrin Heise of PBE
Distributors. "The idea is to give them the information and training
they need on new products and equipment, so they can pass it on to the
