Spring is definitely here. It's one of my favourite seasons, even this year when winter doesn't seem to want to give up.

Maybe it's the effect of Canadian winters, but it always seems to me that spring is the best time of year to start something new. Shops can take this opportunity to clean, both literally and by sweeping old processes out the door.

There's a lot more training available on how to make your shop lean, the most effective use of low-VOC paint, and a lot more.

Danforth Collegiate Hosts Low-VOC Seminar

Danforth Collegiate in Toronto, Ontario played host recently to one installment in a series of workshops highlighting new loc-VOC paints. The evening event featured collision repair shop speakers, grants and incentives updates as well as health and safety assistance with simplified environmental compliance help.

I-CAR Offers Points for PPG Waterborne Systems

PPG Industries has announced that I-CAR will offer points for PPG Envirobase High Performance and Nexa Autocolor Aquabase Plus through its Industry Training Alliance program. PPG says the training will make life easier for shops converting to waterborne systems as their workers will have the necessary skills needed to use these systems to their full potential.
