Is This For Real?
Dogs Shouldn't Drive: Here are two stories on why dogs are rarely employed as chauffeurs. First, a 70-lb. pit bull jumped on a car's gearshift at a carwash in Pryor, Oklahoma, sending the car out of the bay, to circle the lot briefly. Second, a boxer-shar-pei mix similarly jostled the gearshift of a van in Port Jefferson, New York, sending it through the front window of a coffee shop.

Did you Know...? By Mike Davey

Crimestopper Tips: Did you know you can catch thieves simply by pointing? That's what a woman in Auburn, California did. A man and woman allegedly stole the tires and rims off her car, put them on their own car, and then returned to the crime scene to see if the owner had called the police! Greetings!
The deadline for filing an Expression of Intent with I-CAR to take over Canadian operations has come and gone. We should know by June which firm will be handling things from here on out. In other news, there are still a couple of days left before the Right to Repair Private Members Bill is debated in the House of Commons. You can let your MP know how you feel about this. 1. Go to righttorepair.ca and click on "Take Action". 2. Then click on the "Contact your MP" and enter your postal code to locate your MP. 3. You will then see the option to select a standard letter from the drop-down menu or you may select "Write Your Own Letter." It can all be done in minutes. Mike Davey,Editor

Grant Opportunities for Collision Repair Education
The I-CAR Education Foundation is proud to announce five categories of grants this year. The categories include opportunities to help career and technical school and college collision repair programs, school collision instructors, and deserving students pursuing a career in the collision industry. This scholarship is funded by the I-CAR Education Foundation's Collision Repair Education Campaign.
"The scholarships and grants we are offering this year are important to the future of the collision industry," said Scott Kruger, I-CAR Education Foundation Executive Director. "They help remove financial barriers to collision education for students and help collision schools provide the most thorough and modern training needed by the industry. Our goal is that future entry-level collision technicians have the skills and experience necessary to immediately become productive, efficient, and committed workers in collision repair facilities."
