I've been watching media reports coming out of the North American International Auto Show. If what the car companies are rolling out is any indication, we'll all be seeing quite a few more hybrid and electric vehicles in the next few years.

Mourning a Hero: Remembering Harry Belmont

To date, CARSTAR Collision Centres have raised over 1.5 million dollars on behalf of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Many may have wondered how it is that CARSTAR Collision Centres got involved with this particular foundation. It all started with the birth of a baby girl, named Victoria, who happened to be born with cystic fibrosis. When disease strikes, the first instinct is usually to seek help and fundraise to find a cure. That's exactly what Harry Belmont and his family did.

I-CAR Adds New Options to Online Registration

I-CAR is continuing to see growth in its new online registration process. Since implementation in November, the collision repair training organization has seen an upward trend in use of the system. The rate at which students are using the online registration system has increased by nearly 100 percent in the most recent four weeks of use.

"The growth in the acceptance of the online registration system suggests that training managers are becoming acclimated to the new technology and are finding online registration beneficial to their organization and to their employees who are attending classes," said Joyce Kasmer, I-CAR's director of marketing.
