Is This For Real? By Danielle Dinally
Low-Speed Chase: A Los Angeles man who later said he was
"tired of walking," stole a steamroller and led police on a 5 mph
chase until an officer stepped aboard and brought the vehicle to a stop.
Very Fast, Very Dumb:
A California woman tried to
talk her way out of a $405 fine in Manitoba
for speeding at almost 100 mp/h (about 160 km/h). She said it was because she
didn't understand the metric system. Possibly she thought "jamming the
accelerator all the way to the floor" was a good solution.

Did you Know...? By Danielle Dinally

Keep on Truckin' I:
The oldest truck was built by Mercedes Benz on October 1, 1896. It had a four hp two-cylinder engine and weighed 1,200 kilograms
Keep on Truckin' II:
The world's first truck looked like a
horse-drawn cart without a drawbar. The driver was seated on the coach-box
ahead of the front axle, out in the open air. Hence the truck was a
cab-over-engine unit.

Shops Help Families in Need
The holiday season is here and Santa has come early for two families
courtesy of Glen-Merritt~CSN in St. Catharine's and CARS Auto
Collision~CSN in Burlington.
The two facilities are two of the five Canadian shops participating in AkzoNobel's Acoat selected Benevolence
Program this year.
The program presents refurbished cars to deserving individuals during the
holidays. The facilities work with local charitable organizations and
partners to help identify those most in need. Partners will often
contribute as well, with free groceries, gas, and toys for the kids.
