Is This For Real?
Speed Record: Walter Burtin of Washington, DC, was arrested and charged with committing 34 traffic offenses in ten minutes! He ran 15 red lights, ignored 4 signs, drove the wrong way down a one-way street (twice), drove through a safety zone, failed to slow down at an intersection, was caught speeding, and turned out not to have a license.

Did you Know...?
Whoa! Slow Down!: In 1903 England became the first country to have an official speed limit. Cars were limited to 32 km/h.
Undertaken: A Dutch hearse driver was fired in 2003 for losing a coffin on the way to the funeral!

White Oaks Auto Body in London ON, has been certified by BMW Canada as an authorized collision repair and refinish centre. This is an important breakthrough as it represents a new move by the automaker to set up authorized facilities.
White Oaks, in business since 1979, is fully equipped for repairs to aluminum vehicles. However, the new certification includes not just aluminum vehicles, but all structural and non-structural repairs to all vehicles produced by BMW. White Oaks Auto Body's territory will extend from London to Windsor and Sarnia.

North Queen Auto Parts Featured on CityTV
Viewers of Toronto-based CityTV's "Breakfast Television" yesterday got a little education with their morning wake-up, courtesy of North Queen Auto Parts and the Car Heaven program. The recycling facility at 70 North Queen Street in Toronto, ON played host to Jennifer Valentyne & The Live Eye Crew very early on Monday morning.
Jennifer Valentyne interviewed Krista Friesen of the Clean Air Foundation and Ersilia Serafini of Car Heaven regarding the mercury switch-out program that progressive recyclers have been participating in for some time. During the segment, Jennifer Valentyne also drove a front-end loader and even (with assistance from North Queen Auto Parts co-owner Walter Sembay) used it to pick up a car.
