Is This For Real?
Nice Try: It's impossible to be in more than one place at the same time, but that's exactly what a man in Lawrence, MA claimed. Ernie Baez said he was the driver of one car and a passenger in another involved in a staged crash. "It's just amazing because he almost got away with it, too," said Lawrence police chief John Romero.
What's the Question?: Some of the best humour is accidental, like this exchange from a court case involving an auto accident:
Q: What gear were you in at the time of impact? A: Gucci sweats and Reeboks.

Did you Know...?
Worth Its Weight: There's a new target for thieves: catalytic converters. They aren't being stolen for resale, but for the platinum inside!
Push It: A car travelling at 80 km/h uses roughly half it's fuel just to overcome wind resistance.

Greetings!
Many people talk the talk when it comes to training, but how many walk the walk? From what I can tell it's a depressingly small percentage.
New technology impacts the industry almost daily. Increasing use of high-strength steels is one small example, but it's one that can have huge consequences. This is an area where using traditional repair methods could mean that the next accident that car is in will result in a fatality.
Lucky for us, we've got access to a great training organization. The job I-CAR does is nothing short of phenomenal.
If you want to stay on the cutting edge, then I heartily recommend attending the I-CAR International Annual Meeting. There's a great slate this year, including the recent addition of a waterborne panel discussion.

strong ethics, willpower and character. The Hosaki family has worked
their way to the top and don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. After
George's passing in 2005, his legacy has been carried on by sons Wayne and
Gary. As of May 2007, Wayne
took over sole ownership and with the help of his wife Cheryl continues to succeed.
