This is a pretty cool thing we get to do with a bunch a great people.
Our Special thanks to Officers: Sgt. Merchant, Officer Quintero, Officer Hoatson and Chief Lerwill of the California Highway Patrol, Valley Division.
---------------
The California Highway Patrol collects toys from all around the Sacramento area and also has a toy collection day held at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds in December. Several very generous corporations also supported the CHiPs For Kids effort!
The CHP distributes the toys to hospitalized and disadvantaged children through
UC Davis Children's Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Shriner's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, the
Salvation Army, WEAVE, Head Start, Boys & Girls Club, Operation
Rudolph, Loaves & Fishes and other community service organizations.
Sacramento Vintage is honored once again, to be the distribution center for all these toys that are distributed to underprivileged children. This year we had around 650 kids show up Tuesday, December 22nd to select their toys. Anrak Corporation and Teichert Construction delivering over 350 bicycles! (Click on the photos above to watch the videos) Heather Parejko with Sacramento Vintage Ford, Officers with the California Highway Patrol and just one of the thousands of gifts donated at Cal Expo forthe CHiPs For Kids Toy Drive. Darold Kohout (Sacramento Vintage Ford), Edie Lambert and Gulstan Dart (News Anchors KCRA Channel 3) and Officer Adrian Quintero (Valley Division, California Highway Patrol) at the Cal Expo drop off site.
