Alumni Notes
Jane Mutchler (77, MAcc) was appointed dean of the School of Management at Purdue University Calumet. Mutchler currently is associate dean at Georgia State University, where she is also a professor of accounting. Mutchler assumes her new role Aug. 1.
Bill McCausland (96, Executive MBA) is the new associate vice president/executive director of the USF Alumni Association. McCausland was previously chief operating officer for the Ex-Students' Association of The University of Texas.
Zak Boggs (10, marketing) has been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Program Study Grant scholarship to the United Kingdom. Boggs is one of only 35 students to study in the U.K. under this program and one of more than 1,600 U.S. citizens who will travel abroad or the 2012-2013 academic year through the Fulbright U.S. program. Boggs will pursue a master's degree in medical sciences at Leicester University under the mentorship of Dr. Ian Eperon, examining potential cancer treatment pathways through mRNA splicing.

Faculty and Staff Notes
James Stock, professor in the Marketing Department, was named Distinguished University Professor for 2012 as a result of his service to USF, the high level of his scholarship and his international reputation in the field of logistics. He will have the title formally bestowed at the Faculty Honors & Awards ceremony during the Fall 2012 semester.
Hilary Lehman has joined the College of Business as the new communications & marketing specialist in the Dean's Office. Most recently, she was a business reporter with the Daytona Beach News-Journal, but she has also worked at the Tampa Bay Times and the Associated Press in Miami. |
