In Other News...
Business students were in the spotlight at the most recent USF commencement ceremony in December.
- Chaz Hine (MBA) performed the National Anthem to begin the commencement ceremony and closed it by singing the USF Alma Mater.
- Kudos to Luke Richardson (accounting) for being named a King O'Neal Scholar. This prestigious award is given to graduates who complete their degree with a 4.0 GPA.
- Congratulations to recent business alumnus Ryan Spellins (finance), who was honored as USF's Outstanding Graduate by the Alumni Association.
- Johan Yasin (general business) was the youngest person to graduate from USF in December at age 18.

Alumni Notes
Dennis Zank ('76, accounting) was promoted to the position of chief operating officer of Raymond James Financial. Zank moved from his former position as president of Raymond James & Associates, the firm's brokerage subsidiary, into a leadership role with the parent company. Dode Ackey ('02, finance; '04, MBA) recently started a charitable foundation with his wife to support and provide education to disadvantaged children in Niger Republic. Zak Boggs ('08, biomedical science; '10, marketing), now with the New England Revolution soccer team, was named the MLS Humanitarian of the Year for his volunteer efforts in cancer research at a Boston hospital.
