Success Is An Inconvenience: The Making of a Champion
    Success is an Inconvenience

It is my pleasure to announce the forthcoming book by Coach Joseph Taylor. I was honored to write this book with him.

You can obtain a Free audio download of a chapter, Stay in the Circle, read by Dr. Mann. Click Here to access the download page.

Success Is An Inconvenience: The Making of a Champion is an extraordinary book about football and life. It reveals the hard truth about what it takes to be successful everyday, not just on game day! Coach Joe Taylor is a legend in his field. He has won 3 National Championships, 14 Conference Championships, 7 Bowl games, and has a lifetime win-loss record of 229-89. He is respected with the likes of Eddie Robinson and Jake Gaither. More important than his success on the football field, he has coached and mentored thousands of young men from childhood to manhood. He has coached in historically black colleges and has helped many young men, who might have gone down the wrong path, to graduate and become successful contributors to society. These individuals have come forward to share their personal stories.

This is a must read for anyone who loves the game, coaches the game, or has children involved in sports. In addition, anyone who wants to take his or her life to the next level will find tremendous value in this book. Coach Taylor has been inducted into three separate Hall of Fames. Learn from a legend and an expert - read this book!

"When we thought that there was nothing more that we could do, he always would help us find that next level, that other level. And that has influenced my work today - breaking barriers, breaking some of the mental barriers that we did not even know we had."

    Timothy G. Benson, M.D.
    Harvard Medical School, Assistant Psychiatrist
Medical Director, McLean Residence at the Brook

"He was a mentor and a father figure to most. I'm truly blessed that he gave me a scholarship that allowed me to come play for him. There should be a statue of Joe T at the Hampton University campus."

    Marcus Dixon
NFL - N.Y. Jets, Defensive End

"I definitely give a lot of credit to Joe Taylor's program and Hampton University. I can't say enough about the man. He was there for all his players and everyone appreciated and loved him."

    Kendall Langford
NFL - St. Louis Rams, Defensive Tackle

"I have to give a lot of credit for anything that I was able to overcome to Coach Taylor's philosophy that he instilled in me. He is living proof of his philosophy. You are what you teach and he is going to live forever in us. You would be a fool not to pass this down or pass it forward. You just cannot let it go. You have got to give it to somebody else, whether it be coaching youth football or baseball or anything else. It is all relative to life."

    Corey Swenson
    NFL -- St. Louis Rams
Director of Security, Bay Shore School District

    Chapter 4
The Third Principle: Your Capacity to Rise Above Your Conditioning and Societal Pressures Will Unleash Your Personal Power

This chapter discusses the importance of being able think for yourself and be your own person. Carl Jung's term "Individuation" is relevant to this discussion.

Take the self analysis to see how you are doing in this important area.

    Self-Analysis-Individuation
Answer the following questions: True or False

    1. I generally tend to go along with the group.
    2. I feel more comfortable when others accept me.
    3. I like to fit in.
    4. I do not spend time in introspection.
    5. I am usually confused regarding my beliefs on important issues.
    6. I am usually afraid to express my thoughts and feelings when others disagree.
    7. I am not interested in understanding different points of view.
    8. I cannot assert myself with strong-willed individuals.
    9. I am afraid I will be rejected if I speak out.
    10. I have not progressed beyond my early childhood conditioning.
    11. I usually defer to those in authority.
    12. I am afraid to be angry.

If you answered "true" to two or more of the above items, you may need to do some personal work in the area of individuation.

More information on how to change in this important area is found within the book.

    Transformational Coaching

Do you feel stuck in life?
Do you have clear goals for what you want to accomplish?
Are YOU the only thing keeping you from moving to the next level?

Just setting goals and making plans is not enough. You need to get clear about who you are and what you are projecting into the universe.

Sometimes it is important and necessary to have a coach who can mirror you back to you. if you are ready to make major changes in your life and take ownership of what you are creating, then you are ready for transformational coaching.

You will be surprised to see how much can change when you change your perception of what is possible. When you make a connection to your deeper self, have a clear mind and clear intentions, then life becomes a lot easier.

If you really want to make important changes, do it from the inside out! Call me today and let's talk.
