Welcome! This newsletter is designed to provide you with state of the art information to help you take your life and game to the next level. We combine mind/body/soul approaches to help you develop inner mastery. ![]() Ron Mann, Ph.D.
Dearest Friends, I wish all of you a very profound and successful year that finds your deepest desires fulfilled. As you may know, it is very helpful to have a clear intention in the first step in manifestation: energy follows thought! A clear thought (intention), combined with a strong will and a calm and focused mind (i.e. an inner life free of confusion and emotional turmoil) will yield powerful results. Try to deepen your spiritual life this year. Take a little more time for quiet reflection and introspection. When life become the most demanding, take a moment to breath, close your eyes and put your awareness within; center in your heart, remember your beauty and trust your inner wisdom. Eternal Blessings of Love & Peace Ron Mann
In a world that is consumed by external factors such as what you wear, what you have and what you do, it is important to remember that the most important thing in life is Who You Are! Personal Development is designed to improve Who You Are by helping you to gain greater awareness of and access to your essential strengths. In sports, great equipment and consistent technique do make a difference. However, in the last few seconds when all is tied, it is the strength of your inner core and access to your inner hidden reserves that opens the door to the winner’s circle. Your ability to stay present in the moment, maintain a positive state of mind, believe in yourself and never give up will take you to the next level. This is true is sports, business and your personal life. Dick Fosbury, the creator of the Fosbury Flop and Olympic Gold Medalist in the high jump shared with me some aspects of his journey towards success. “No one thought that my technique would work. My coach had doubts and the European coaches all told me I had no chance to win with my technique. But I believed in my approach and it evolved over time. I kept getting better. When I made that final winning jump I don’t know how I got that high over the bar. I felt some force lifting me over the bar. I knew I could not jump that high, some unseen force was helping me.” We all have access to profound hidden reserves that will help us reach new heights. Buying new clothes or new equipment will not open this door. The key is within. Learn to deepen your connection with your essential self. Commit to new personal learning this year. If you want to:
When the yogi, like a tortoise
withdrawing its
limbs,
can fully retire his senses from the objects of
perception,
his wisdom manifests steadiness. The esoteric wisdom of yoga practice is revealed in this section. When the yogi is able to fully withdraw the life force energy, through an advanced pranayama technique such as kriya yoga, then the consciousness becomes stabilized into the superconscious. Many students of yogic meditation can touch higher states of awareness, but it is very difficult to stabilize and sustain this state of consciousness, and our Western models do not provide even an ounce of help to guide us in the right direction. Western approaches take us only as far as emotions and the mind and do not provide the spiritually advanced technology that allows us to withdraw the life force energy and redirect this subtle current into the higher centers of the brain, which results in the emergence of a profound clarity and depth of wisdom. Most of us find life to be very difficult and confusing. We are given many tests and sometimes just do not know which is the best way to turn. Without a deeper connection to our Self and the resulting clarity that comes from the power of discrimination, it is very difficult to choose wisely. Yoga practice and yogic meditation provide a suitable methodology to access the profound inner resources that can light the way during times of darkness.
