Featured Article of the Month
Dr. Raymond Hall, D.C. Golfer's Character: The Ingredient for Success
Dr. Hall is a very talented chiropractor who has a
private practice in West LA and also has worked with
the PGA. We have played together and he has
helped me with some back problems. I think you will
like this article.
This article outlines, defines and demonstrates how
the game of golf exemplifies and characterizes life. It
points out the good personality traits, or the "do's,"
that will carry over into your business and personal
relationships. For example, honor, will, strength, and
courage: these are a few characteristics that the
golfer must have in his arsenal to score well on and
off the course. The article also helps identify
the "don'ts", the negative human traits that carry
over into everyday affairs and are the demise of
success. Which character traits do you exemplify?
What does your golf game demonstrate to the other
players? How can you live, learn, and grow on the
golf course? How can we make the game of golf an
experience that teaches us and reinforces character?
What rules can you use to enhance your personal
growth?

The Yoga of Golf Review
What others are saying about this approach
I just completed your The Yoga Of Golf and would
like to compliment you on not only a fine book, but
what I consider to be a seminal work in golf
literature. I love your organizational and writing style.
I particularly liked golf sutras and summary chapter.
I am not only pleased to include your book and CD in
the next edition of my "Bibliography On The
Psychology Of Golf," I am also including your book as
a recommendation in my latest book as one of the
top ten references on the best expansive sources in
golf. Again, congratulations and please keep up the
fine work.

Find the Zone Testimonial
I wanted to let you that I recently purchased your
cd "Find The Zone". I listened to it the other nite and
took many notes. I played the other at my home
course now, The Navy Golf Course at Seal Beach. I
am a reserve in the navy. I played 7 previous rounds
there and nothing lower than a 101. I had averaged
107 with all the scores. I took what notes I made
from your cd and applied them the day I played. I
went out there and blew all my stats away and also
shot a scratch 87. I wanted to thank you for your
time it took to make the cd and also teaching many
things that I did not know. I truely believe in your
teachings 100% plus. I recommend your CD to
anyone I know that plays golf.

Excerpts from The Yoga of Golf
The Yoga Sutras of Golf
- Great golf happens after lots of practice and
patience. You cannot force a great round of golf
- Your character is revealed in how you handle
adversity. It is how you deal with the difficult shots,
bad lies and bounces that tests the depth of your
being.
- Trust yourself. You can only be yourself, so why
not give yourself a chance to play.
- Don't try so hard. A great swing is the result of
rhythm, timing, and tempo. The more you relax and
remain fluid, the better you will play
- You have to love to practice if you want to get
good. Don't expect to make shots that you have not
practiced. Miracles do happen but probably not in the
rough 250 yards from the green.
- You have to love to practice if you want to get
good. Don't expect to make shots that you have not
practiced. Miracles do happen but probably not in the
rough 250 yards from the green.
- If you have a bad hole, don't let it get you down.
A birdie can neutralize the score and get you back
into the hunt
- Be target oriented. Stay focused on a particular
spot and use that as your point of reference. Swing
through to the target, don't hit at the ball.
- Develop a consistent pre-game routine. Visualize
your shot and create a mental plan before hitting the
ball.
- There is no "perfect" swing. Accept and develop
what you can do to get the club square to the ball
at impact.
- The Zone is a place that will come to you. Learn
to let go and be receptive to the Zone. Thinking,
effort, and mechanics will not get you there.
- You will see your life reflected in your game. Just
pay attention to how you approach the game and
you will see the patterns of your life.
