Dear ,
Fiddle toys and fidgets are essential tools for many with hair pulling disorder and/or skin picking disorder. In fact, studies show that fiddlers help de-stress the body and increase focus for many people of all different ages, not just those with BFRBs.
TLC recently expanded it's selections of fidgets and fiddles, and we can't keep them in stock! So, we've added even more Tools for Trichs, individually selected items chosen specifically for their potential to help manage BFRB urges. Here are a few of our new items (don't worry, we still have your favorites, including Spinner Rings and specialty Band-Aids).
Silly Bandz Rubber Band Bracelets
Use these fun and and wildly popular silly bandz as both a fidget and a distractor from pulling and picking (you've heard the method of snapping a rubber band to distract from these urges). Kids will love these fun shapes and colors. Get in on the Silly Bandz phenomenon while supporting TLC!
Critter Puffs and Porcupine Balls
Like the ever-popular Koosh balls, Critter Puffs (which have air-filled bodies that you can puff and squueeze) and Porcupine Balls (like a Koosh but harder and more tactile) are flexible, rubbery and fun for any age. Also, check out Mr. Squishable, Blobby Robby!
Tangle Jr. and Tangle Glow
Tangles are one of the most popular fidgets for impulse control disorders. These wiggly, textured fiddles are great for the chronic fidgeter. We offer the new glow-in-the dark Tangle DNA and the classic Tangle Jr. either can be worked into endless combinations of shapes or buy several and connect them to make a long Tangle snake!
Visit www.trich.org to view even more tools, from the adorable Mini Moody Face to books and new DVDs to Professional Training Programs.
With love, TLC
