consecutive year, TLC will bring together many of the nation's leading
researchers, clinicians, and facilitators to present on a wide range of topics
dealing with Trichotillomania (TTM), Skin Picking, and Related Body Focused
Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs). The 2011 Conference is particularly
important as increased media coverage, awareness and shame reduction have led
both patients and treatment providers to demand understanding and viable
treatment options. Ground-breaking work toward understanding the impact of
these disorders is well underway, including genetics research and treatment
development. Plus, TLC will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary, and we've
planned some special activities to help us celebrate: Don't miss out!
We are particularly interested in presentations on:phenomenology and etiology
maintenance, classification and treatment skin picking: specifically dermatology, healing skin, self-help, and finding support
esteem-building and motivational techniques the recovery process and coping mechanisms (for children and adults) enhancing life quality family relationships; coping & communication skills for parents and their children

If two or more of your proposals are selected, TLC will reimburse 50% of your transportation and lodging expenses. Nearly
400 sufferers and their families will attend, as well as professionals
from all disciplines, all seeking to expand their expertise in working with
