Greetings!
One day a friend reminded me of how neat my
playroom was when I was a child and to this day I love
order in my home. This month we celebrated
Mother's day and I am sharing tips I learned from my
Mother that I still use today.
As you read this issue use the tips to conquer the
clutter in your home, your mother's home or teach your
daughter something that will impact her life.

Mom's Paper Management System:

- Organize coupons in coupon organizer check the
expiration date each time you shop.
- After magazines and papers are read put them in
the recycling bin.
- Use small file box to keep paid bills, bank
statements, household information, etc.
- Identify photos immediately and schedule time to
organize in photo albums/boxes.
- Discard duplicate information from banks,
insurance companies, pharmacies.

Time Saving Tips I Learned from Mom
|
|
- Make a shopping list and list items by aisle to
save time.
- Use your calendar as a reminder to change the
baking soda in the refrigerator.
- Schedule time weekly according to your work
schedule to do laundry, grocery shopping and
cleaning.
- Plan meals for the week and cook according to
your schedule. I do my cooking for the week on
Saturday or Sunday when I have more time.
- Clean the kitchen after you have finished a meal.

Mom's Tips for Maintaining Order in the Home
|

- Label and date everything that is stored in the
freezer in aluminum foil.
- Group like items together in the cabinets (bake
goods, breakfast foods).
- Use a variety of containers to organize
miscellaneous items (plastic margarine container to
store trash bag ties).
- Put clean clothes away.
- Always hang your coat up and put away your
shoes
