DIET SODA or any soda for that matter. I'm sure you've heard by now how bad diet soda is for your health. That's why if you're drinking it, cut it out. Here are just a few facts you should know.
1. It's loaded with chemicals
2. It's sweetened with artificial sweetener, usually aspartame
3. It will increase your risk for obesity
4. It will increase your risk for type 2 diabetes
5. It's bad for your teeth due to the citric and absorbic acid
6. It's bad for your kidneys. Women who drink more than 2 diet sodas a day have a 2 fold increase risk for kidney function decline.
This just scratches the surface. Before you drink that next can of Diet Coke do a 5 minute search on diet soda. You'll be amazed and I hope horrified at what you are putting into your body.
There is not one positive thing you are doing for your body or health by drinking diet soda on a regular basis, so why do it? Choose water, green, red or white tea. Need carbonation? Then choose carbonated water with a splash of juice or lemon.
