Dear Friend,

John DiMarco, CEO

This Thursday, West Bay will celebrate more than 30 years of service to disabled individuals throughout Rhode Island. It's an exciting story of growth, dedication and commitment. In three short decades we have transformed the way our friends manage their everyday lives and found new ways for them to increase their role in the community. As someone who helped us get there, we hope you will join the West Bay community, local leaders, and the people we support for this celebration. It will be a wonderful night that you don't want to miss!
Gratefully,

On Thursday, Nov. 3rd, we will celebrate our 30th Anniversary with an Open House for the entire Rhode Island community. The event will take place at our main offices on 158 Knight Street, in Warwick, RI between 5 - 8 pm.
We will welcome leaders from across the state, as well as individuals from the communities we call home, to join in a celebration of our growth, our work, and those we support. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the amazing individuals that we provide services to on a daily basis and see our newly improved day program facility. You'll also be able to enjoy some fine food and drink, and hear from the West Bay leaders and state officials who recognize the important services we deliver.
We look forward to seeing you there and invite you to bring your friends as well!

 | Look How Far We've Come!
|
Shortly after West Bay was incorporated in 1981 we acquired our first home in Cranston, RI. Within a year, three additional homes were opened and West Bay became an independent agency. By the start of the 1990's, our organization was operating 13 homes and one semi-independent living apartment. We had also established a comprehensive Day Services program.
Over the next ten years, West Bay continued to expand its services across six communities in Rhode Island, and by 2000, we were servicing 19 homes and six semi-independent apartments.
Today, West Bay employs more than 350 people, and supports more than 130 individuals. Most of the individuals at West Bay reside in one of our 26 homes, which offer 24-Hour support or one of the seven homes offering Semi-Independent living. Additionally, we provide Day Services to approximately 100 individuals.
Now it's time to celebrate these accomplishments and the lives and families West Bay has impacted - our work has never been more rewarding!
