HURRICANE SEASON IS 13 DAYS AWAY. ARE YOU PREPARED?
Hurricane Season lasts from June 1 to  November 30. Weather Services International (WSI) forecast calls for:
  • 17 named storms
  •  9 hurricanes
  •  5 major hurricanes

This is a much more active season than we have seen in the past few years. Predicted totals are well above the normal levels of 10 named storms, 6 hurricanes and 2 major hurricanes

The list of hurricane names this year is a recycled list from 2005. The same devastating 2005 hurricane season that brought hurricanes Dennis, Katrina, Rina, Stan, and Wilma. This year the aforementioned names will be retired and will not make future appearances because of their destructive impacts.

Prepare Yourself...
The only way to be prepared is to prepare. In the coming weeks we will be bringing you some tips on preparing your home, your documents, your pets for this hurricane season. Remember, your homeowner does not cover flooding caused by rising water from a hurricane.
