  State of the Fisheries
 
April 26th, 6:30 p.m at the Butte Plaza Inn (2900 Harrison Ave. next to Hops) George Grant Chapter of Trout Unlimited will present its annual State of the Fisheries. This year  GGTU will feature Jim Olsen FWP Fish Biologist on the Big Hole River, Ron Spoon will cover the Jefferson river drainage, then Matt Jaegar FWP Fish Biologist in the Beaverhead,  Ruby River area. We will also hear from Emily Cayer who handles the Grayling in this area and last but just as important Travis Horton, Region 3 Fisheries Manager.  This is a great opportunity to ask these fish experts about anything you can think of such as what condition our rivers are in at this point in time ,and how they compare to years past. Come join the fun on April 26th!
 
Fly Tying Demo
 
April 28th at the Butte Plaza Mall. George Grant chapter of Trout Unlimited  will do a fly tying demo from 10a.m. to 3p.m.  If you always wanted to tie your own fly but don't have the equiptment...No Problem! GGTU  will supply all the items needed to tie some real popular flies used in this area. Come watch different techniques in tying!  Learn dubbing, weaving and other common techniques. Learn new patterns that have been proven to catch fish in our area rivers. There is no cost and anyone can come join the fun.
