EXPANDS INTO ALBERTA
On April 16, 2012, BeautyCouncil announced that the Options
association will be officially administering its trade credentials in esthetics, hair and nail technology in Alberta. Options
"We are more than capable and enthused to extend our
trade examinations and professional designations to Albertan cosmetology professionals,' said Tara Gilbert, CEO BeautyCouncil.
 Working together with Alberta partners including Delmar College, DK Beauty Systems and Essence Salon & Spa Solutions, the association is focused on raising both industry standards and cosmetology professionalism.
In the absence of industry regulation and standardization,
BeautyCouncil has developed and improved on the following programs to strengthen professionalism and consumer confidence in both BC & Alberta.
