Counter Tension at the Grimshaw-Gudewicz Gallery

September 6 - October 19, 2012 (Opening Reception September 6, 6:00 p.m. - 8 p.m.)

Counter Tension is the second collaborative installation by artists Doug Cluff, Lisa Baldani Hansel, Mike Hansel and Ted Sturtevant. By using the gallery itself as the "work of art," the challenge was to dramatically change its appearance while not damaging any physical features. The concept of forces creating tension and stress, while also representing elements that appear to counteract these forces, is the theme for this project.  For more information about the show, please contact Director of the Grimshaw-Gudewicz Art Gallery Kathleen Hancock, 508-678-2811, ext. 2439.
