Summer of Science

BCC Kids College

The six CONNECT colleges and universities invite young people onto their campuses for summer programs promoting invention, exploration, and enthusiasm for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers.

Marine Biology is the focus at Massachusetts Maritime Academy and at Bridgewater's Whale of a Mystery. The environment takes the spotlight at UMass Dartmouth, Massasoit Community College, and Cape Cod Community College. BSU's ACE Aviation Camp also incorporates aerospace engineering.  Students at Bristol's Kids College can enroll in a range of classes similar to those college students take, from game design to robotics to computer programming.

Massasoit Community College president Dr. Charles Wall states, "We know that we must help excite students while they are in high school, in fact even in middle school, long before they head to our college campuses if we are to engage them in lives and careers of science and math."

All programs offer need-based scholarships. More information, including dates, contact information, cost, and links to the individual programs, is available on the CONNECT website.
