Dear USA of Indiana Travel (Indy Burn & Fusion) family,
One of the earliest concerns was driving to the "other complex." There will be a good competitive team with a good coach that trains at your local complex. Think about it: just as there was a good team for your child based at each club's fields before the alliance, there will be a good team for your child, based in either Avon/Brownsburg or Pike, this coming year too!
One of the key advantages of having one travel division is that USAi is likely to form even stronger Premier teams. Each age group will have a premier team that will, depending upon the team's preference, likely train one day at the Avon Soccer Complex or Brownsburg Soccer Complex and another day at Mary & John Geisse Soccer Complex or Northwestway Park. Once each premier team's roster is complete, the coach will request field space for where and when the team wants to train. That is for the premier teams. Let's make sure your child's soccer friends register and attend tryouts so that the Club will form a second team in each county.
Other great questions include "Who is the coach and is he/she a good coach?" USAi has great coaches....it should as the coaches are the same Fusion and Indy Burn coaches! See our best guess at who will coach which team here: http://unitedsoccerallianceindiana.org/coaching/coaching-staff Of course this is a tentative assignment as we cannot make final decisions on coaches or how many teams until we see you, your friends, and who else shows up for tryouts.
Likely the third most frequent question is the team going to be competitive? Yes. With a joint tryout each team should play at even more competitive level than before.
Coach Will and I are visiting each travel team's training this week and visiting with parents. Come introduce yourself: http://unitedsoccerallianceindiana.org/travel/meet-great
I was thinking today of several aspects of USAi that are simply unique. USAi provides more Tuition Assistance that any other club I know so children from low-income families or families in crisis may still play....and we raise those funds from outside sponsors and tournaments. USAi provides it's Have A Ball school fitness with a ball program to schools to introduce kids to soccer. USAi remains true to its core values, still the same organization of parents, players, coaches, managers, volunteers and administrators doing good things to strengthen our community. Our goal with USAi is to provide the best soccer experience for your children.
USAi is an outstanding experience for our children (and parents!). We have so many more options now than our individual clubs had on their own. There is stronger back end administrative staff to meet your increasing expectation of same. As always, we're here to answer your questions and to serve you and your family.
Finally, thanks for all you do for USAi. You can be proud of your involvement in the new club. While our clubs have joined, one thing still remains the same. We're still the great grassroots clubs (Avon Soccer Association, Brownsburg Soccer League, Fusion Soccer Academy, Indy Burn & Pike Youth Soccer Club) that we've been since 1979!
Thank you,
